Fruit and Oat Bowl and Mixed Berry and Apple Smoothie
I thought for this weeks Foodies Monday I'd share a couple of my favorite breakfast treats, one that I enjoy on the cooler morning and one for the warmer mornings.
Fruit and Oat Bowl
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 apple diced
1/8 cup chai seeds
1/8 cup flax seeds
1/2 cup oats
1 cup water
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
Method:
Put all ingredients in a small to medium size saucepan and stir over a medium heat until the water has been absorbed.
Pour into a bowl and serve with a drizzle of honey.
Mixed Berry and Apple Smoothie
Ingredients:
1 cup frozen mixed berries
1 apple diced
1/8 cup chai seeds
1/8 cup flax seeds
1/8 cup hemp seeds
1/2 tsp of cinnamon
1/2 tsp of ginger
1 egg
Method:
Put all ingredients into a blender with about a half cup of water and blend.
Pour into a tall glass and enjoy.
